What is Reverse-Coed?
Reverse-coed games are played on a Women's Height Net (7'4"). Women play as usual - hitting and blocking at the net. Men, however, must hit from behind the 10-foot-line and may never block. This format levels the playing field - making the game fun for both men and women. Click here for Reverse-Coed Doubles Rules.
What is UNISEX Reverse-Coed 2s?
"Unisex" simply means that a team may comprise of two women, two men or a male/female pair.
What is Random-Draw ?
Individual without a partner may sign up "solo" for the "Random-Draw" division. In this division, players draw a random schedule at the beginning of the day and play with a different partner (male or female) for each game of round-robin pool-play. After pool-play is completed, each individual is ranked by his/her own record. We then use a Partner Selection Process to form "permanent teams" to compete in Playoffs for the rest of the day. For the Partner Selection Process, starting with the highest ranked individual, that player may pick any other individual (male or female) as his/her partner. The procedure continues down the list of ranked players until everyone is paired up. These teams are then seeded into an Elimination Bracket for Playoffs. At the end of the day, the winning team of the Random-Draw Division's Playoff Bracket will play against the winning team of the regular Reverse-Coed 2s division for the Tournament Prize.
Each player / each team will be scheduled for a minimum of 4 pool-play (round-robin) games.
All players / all teams will be given the opportunity to advance to playoffs. At the end of the day, the winning team of the Random-Draw Division's Playoff Bracket will play against the winning team of the regular Reverse-Coed 2s division for the Tournament Prize.
* * * INDIVIDUALS: If you wish to play but don't have a team, you may either sign up for the Random-Draw Division or sign up for the Free Agent List to find a partner to play in the Regular (Non-Random-Draw) Reverse-Coed 2s Division. * * *
