VBmatch and Alameda Recreation and Parks Dept. will co-host an Indoor Optional Power-Coed 6s Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, July 5th.
Optional Power-Coed means that games are played on a men's height net and teams may play with either 4 women & 2 men or 3 women & 3 men on the court. There is neither a male-contact rule nor a female-contact rule for this tournament.
A special Back-Row Block-Assist Rule will apply ONLY to teams with 3 men and 3 women. For those teams, any back-row male may come up to help block at anytime (triple-blocks with all 3 men are allowed). Teams with 4 men and 2 women may NOT use Back-Row Block-Assist (since those teams can - if they choose - arrange their lineup so that there are always two front-row men).
A prize (Target Gift Cards $60 total value) will be awarded to the 1st place team.
Sign up by Thursday July 2nd to get the early pre-registration rate of $23-per-player or $138-per-team. Thereafter, the regular pre-registration rate is $26-per-player or $156-per-team.
NOTE: Teams must pay an extra $5 for each additional player on their roster beyond the first 6. Our insurance premium is based on the total number of participants.
To register for the Sunday 7/5 Indoor Optional Power-Coed 6s Tournament in Alameda, submit your Team Roster via this Online Form and then pay a $20 deposit via the online payment button below. The actual entry fee is due on-site on Sunday by cash or check (payable to "ARPD").
NOTE: Space is limited, so we will send you an email after we receive your payment to let you know if we can accept your entry. You are NOT officially registered until you receive a confirmation email from us.
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATION POLICY: Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the tournament at our sole discretion. In the event of cancellation, all players currently registered at that time will receive a full refund of the fees paid. The tournament may be canceled for various reasons including, but not limited to: inclement weather; unavailability of the facilities/site for the tournament; inadequate number of entries; schedule conflicts of the tournament organizer; etc. In the unlikely event of a tournament cancellation, notification will be sent via email.
IMPORTANT NOTE: IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN AN ASSUMPTION OF RISKS / WAIVER OF CLAIMS / RELEASE OF LIABILITY / INDEMNITY / BINDING ARBITRATION / WAIVER OF STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS AGREEMENT ON THE DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT (BEFORE YOU START PLAYING). Please contact us if you have any questions or would like to see this Agreement before the day of the tournament. A Junior Player must be 14-17 years-old and must have a signed parental consent / waiver form.

NOTE: If you cancel after a spot has been reserved for you, you will only receive a full refund if you cancel at least 5-days ahead of the tournament you registered for. If you cancel less than 5-days ahead of the tournament, you will receive a refund less a $20 administration fee IF AND ONLY IF the tournament is full (i.e. sold out) AND we are able to find a team to replace your team.
